Lead pipes (often found in old houses in Eindhoven) must always be replaced immediately for health reasons. We sometimes still use copper where it remains visible, but for concealed installation in walls we use modern, flexible multi-layer pipes (like Uponor) with press fittings. This enormously reduces the chance of leaks.
Can underfloor heating be installed in my existing home? expand_more
Yes, in most cases we can mill underfloor heating directly into your existing cement screed floor. This is a fast method where the floor does not get much higher. If you have a wooden subfloor, special dry-build underfloor heating systems are available.
What do you do if you encounter old lead pipes? expand_more
We always strongly advise having these replaced with modern plastic pipes. Lead particles in drinking water are harmful to health. We can efficiently include this for you in the renovation.
